Outdoor Learning Trip 戶外學習考察
OWLHK Wildlife Learning Series is a specially designed education series on basic local ecology for busy people in Hong Kong. This series includes a number of different themes and uses our natural environment as classroom. We hope to enhance your understanding and appreciation of nature while enjoying a relaxing day out in the green. Private tours are also available for schools, organizations and companies.
We believe outdoor environmental education is the key to the sustainable development of the society, and proper value and habit should be infused as early as possible, therefore students are a key target of OWLHK. The latest research by Ma (2016) showed that there is a large room for improvement in Hong Kong outdoor education. Taking Geography and Biology in the senior secondary curriculum as an example, his research showed that on average there is only one field visit for each subject in one school year, and most of them are just a half day or one day visit. The actual time spent in nature could only be one or two hours, and some of the field visits may even take place in the built areas.
Hence, OWLHK is determined to develop a wide range of long-term outdoor environmental education programme on different topics such that students can learn through series of well-designed and quality learning activities, and achieve equally well in environmental learning, subjects’ learning and social learning.

In the 21st century, corporate social responsibility is an important area when countries are facing challenges from climate change and implementation of sustainable development. Major enterprises and companies need to take up the corporate social responsibility in the operation, including two major aspects - environmental and social commitment.

We believe through our expertise and experience, tailor-made multi-dimensional social corporate responsibilities programme could be design for each enterprise and company. We value the importance of the engagement and feelings of the programme participants, and also the long-term benefits and impacts for the environment as a whole. in the built areas. We can tailor various types of corporate social responsibility activities for all enterprises and companies from lectures to long-term education programs, so as to allow all enterprises and companies to enrich the implementation of its corporate social responsibility.
Quality environmental education and conservation work must be based on concrete and proper knowledge. And the discovery of such knowledge is started form all sorts of academic research. Based on our expertise, we will endeavor to conduct studies on different topics of environmental education, outdoor education and conservation, hoping to fill the existing "knowledge gap", as well as to allow us for better implementation of our work.
Outdoor environmental education is a wide aspect. We believe through the communications and cooperation with organizations and workers all over the world, the standard of the field could be raised. And organizing different sort of conferences is one effective gateway to let workers in the field to communicate and learn from each other.
