Game Education

Game Education

Creating intrinsic motivation to learn ecological concepts by game approach such as board game, orientation etc.

Secondary School Ecology Board Game Education Programme

Funded by Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) Subventions for Biodiversity Education (2022). The programme has produced two set of board games, each with the theme of butterfly and intertidal ecology. A total of 50 secondary students were trained to become ambassadors. The ambassadors were first equipped with basic butterfly or intertidal ecology knowledge, along with the skill of leading board games. After that, they were empowered to hold total of 10 ecology board game learning activities for over 230 fellow schoolmates. They shared what they have learnt during the programme and promoted Hong Kong’s ecology and biodiversity through the means of game education.
