Law of the Forest Series

“Law of the Forest” is Hong Kong’s first locally developed board game centered on forest ecology and biodiversity. This engaging educational series introduces students to the intricate relationships among forest organisms and the concept of food chains through thematic lectures, interactive gameplay, and immersive outdoor field trips. It also fosters awareness of the environmental threats posed by human activities.

Activity Format

  • Thematic Lecture
    An introduction to forest ecology and biodiversity, highlighting why Hong Kong is home to such rich and diverse ecosystems.
  • “Law of the Forest” Board Game
    Created in-house by our organization, this board game allows students to role-play as forest animals. Through a "survival of the fittest" gameplay mechanism, they experience the challenges and dynamics of living in Hong Kong’s forests.
  • Forest Exploration
    Students will explore the forest with five senses in groups. The activity will increase students’ understanding about forest environment and local wildlife through carrying out game-based tasks. Students can enjoy and connect with the forest.
