Being part of the HSBC Sustainable Finance Leadership Programme joined by cooperate leaders from different countries, together with Dr. Billy Hau from HKU School of Biological Sciences, OLWHK designed and conducted half day activity in Shek Kong and introduce forest conservation and management, and its significance and relationship with sustainable development.
The activity started with the lecture by Dr. Billy Hau that introduced the relationship between climate change, forest conservation and sustainable development. Then we divided into five groups and each group led by one experienced tutor including OWLHK Founders Dr. Xoni Ma and Bond Shun. We went to the forest plot behind the lecture hall to conduct field practical to learn about forest ecology and biodiversity.
Finally the activity was round up by Dr. Billy Hau to encourage each of us to actively participate in world’s sustainable development.
