
OWLHK organized the first Odonata Identification Course in 2020. This course introduces the beauty and importance of insects wildlife in Hong Kong.

Course Feature
- Small class teaching: each class opens for application within 24 trainees, arranged on a first-come, first-served basis. Teacher-to-student ratio remains 1:6.
- Professional tutor: lecturers and field-trip tutors are local graduates of Ecology or Environmental Management, who are also sophisticated in environmental education and botany research
- Outdoor education: the course consists of 3 field trips, with at least 16 hours
- Featuring Ecology Component: on top of species identification, it introduces the importance of Odonata ecologically
Time and Format
3 sessions of online lecture, 2 half-day and 1 full-day field trip. 22 hours in total.
