Professional Ecology Training is the priority of OWLHK. We have provided several training services for many organizations.
Since 2016, we organize outdoor learning trips for the Master of Science Programme in Environmental Management in HKU. We lead them to various habitats for ecological investigation, including intertidal, secondary forest, river stream etc. Furthermore, each field trip aims at a certain sort of animal and introduces the ecological topics, e.g. birds, butterflies, amphibians and reptiles. We instruct them about habitat management as well.
Moreover, we collaborate with Lung Fu Shan Environmental Education Centre to organize the Lung Fu Shan Leaders Training Programme. This programme aims at nurturing a group of enthusiastic environmental educators. Various professionals experienced in ecology, species identification, sustainability, history, culture and environmental interpretation skills will guide participants along the path to become leaders. Working together as an activity consultant and professional instructors, we teach the plant species and plantation in Hong Kong by indoor lecture and field trip since 2018.
