OWLHK Taiwan EE and Ecology Interflow Visit 2019

We have a strong conviction about environmental education, we have always believed that, environmental education is a profession.

Since the establishment of OWLHK, promotion of the professional development in environmental education in Hong Kong has always been regarded as our biggest goal, and being the best of ourselves and striving for progress are of paramount importance. Therefore, following 2018, in August 2019, the OWLHK team once again set off to Taiwan to exchange with local government departments, different professional environmental education, ecological conservation, ecological documentary groups, seniors and co-workers to learn from others, in order to improve our team’s professional capabilities.

We are honoured to invite Mr. Fung Hon-shing of FHS Wildlife from Hong Kong as our company, to visit the urban and countryside areas in Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung and Yilan. During the journey of nine days and eight nights, we have travelled from forest to coast for interflow, interview, training and field study across various disciplines including environmental and outdoor education, ecological documentaries, board games for environmental education, freshwater ecological education, and operation of environmental education venues.

We are grateful to the local groups and friends for their hospitality, assistance and guidance, including the Environmental Ethics Foundation of Taiwan, National Academy for Educational Research, EnvEd Centre for Innovative Learning, nature documentary producer Liu Yan-ming, Friendly SEED, Luodong Junior High School from Yilan County and so on. This interflow visit has really opened our eyes and benefited us, and we have also gained lots of inspirations.

We thank FHS Wildlife for producing the highlights, as well as sharing the beautiful imprints of this trip. Let’s enjoy!
