Lectures and Talks for Tertiary Institutes

OWLHK are eager to promote outdoor environmental education and conservation, and knowledge exchange has been our core work. We are happy to visit any institutes giving lectures and talks and share with students.

Thanks the invitation by Dr. Bayden Russell, Associate Professor of School of Biological Sciences, HKU, OWLHK Founder and Education Director Dr. Xoni Ma had given a guest lecture, with the topics “Sustainable Development, Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development” and “The Principals of Outdoor Education” in the undergraduates course BIOL4304 Ecosystem Function and Services.
Thanks the invitation form Dr. Lung Chau, Faculty of Design and Environment, Thei, OWLHK Founder and Education Director Dr. Xoni Ma shared the topic “Environmental Education in Hong Kong” with students. As this was an uncommon topic, students were very interested and focused in the two-hour lecture.
Invited by Dr. Alan Leung from BUCIE, OWLHK Founder and Education Director Dr. Xoni Ma shared the topic <a href="https://www.cie.hkbu.edu.hk/main/tc/college_news/college_news/1678" target="_blank">“Environmental Education and Sustainable Development - What we can do?”</a>, talking about how we can use creative and interactive education approaches to implement environmental education, with more than a hundred students majoring in environmental conservation, geography and resources management and tree management.
