“Ecology and Biodiversity in Lantau” Series

OWLHK launched the “Ecology and Biodiversity in Lantau” activity series in October to December 2017, as part of the Hong Kong Biodiversity Festival 2017 held by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. We guide you to explore the biodiversity, culture and history of Lantau Island through various plant species.

Butterflies and Plants

Walking along the coastal paths, you can take a look at different plants and the relationships between butterflies and them. Our professional guides will lead you to the dancing butterflies, enjoy the amazing summer in the early morning together.

Indigenous Plants

Lantau is full of historical villages. Villagers utilize natural resources wisely to sustain their livelihoods. Therefore, let’s witness their wisdom of life in the old days.
